Parental Involvement & Consultation

C4F ethos is to ensure we provide the very highest possible standards of service & continually strive for improvements with our service. We encourage parents/ carers to work in partnership with C4F.

  • Freedom of Information Act 2000 

 

Partnership working is defined as all parties working together to promote the welfare & development of the child(ren).   

 

Child(ren) and or young people welfare is paramount within C4F and ensuring they feel safe, secure and comfortable is important to us at C4F. All children will be welcomed into C4F and shown around the building with their thoughts, wishes and feelings sought at all times. Making sure we enable the environment for them to feel comfortable. They are able to return to C4F before contact sessions commence to ensure they get to know all the staff that may be present.  

Parents/ carers generally have the best knowledge & understanding about their child(ren). Partnerships about ensuring parents/ carers have enough information to be able to feel as though they are taking part in their child(rens) learning, development and education and health.  

We will welcome parents/ carers into C4F, ensuring we seek their thoughts , wishes and feelings pre- session and if required after each session. Ensuring we make time for parents/ carers is very important for partnership working within C4F.  

 

Building relationships is key to success with C4F and ensuring all parties feel comfortable to paramount to achieving best outcomes for all parties.  

Communicating with parents/ carers & professionals : 

  • All communication with parents/ carers will be open, honest & transparent.  

  • Staff will ensure that professionals have all reports of contact  sessions or other relevant documents within 48 hours.  

  • C4F requests all relevant information be shared from professionals also working with the children/ adults prior to contact sessions.
