Interpreter Contract

C4F Supervised Child Contact Interpreters Contract 

  1. Please arrive on time, slightly before the session, so we can brief you about the type of meeting, structure etc. 

  2. If you know the client from any community-based contact/setting, please inform us immediately. 

  3. If you have been asked to do any extra work with the family outside of the work with us, please also inform us. 

  4. Interpret every word said by the client/contact worker without any abbreviation, including slang words. 

  5. Do clarify with the speaker if any dialogue cannot be interpreted, or the understanding is not clear, so any errors in communication can be corrected. 

  6. Do not under any circumstances engage the client in discussions outside of the dialogue for interpretation, either in the project or outside, without the prior agreement. 

  7. At the end of the contact please give feedback to the supervisor as the supervisor may need to clarify some conversations with you.
